Artist Conor Oberst And The Mystic Valley Band
Conor Oberst gets a bad rap from those who hate emotional dudes that the chicks all dig, but that doesn’t change the fact that the singer-songwriter has built one of contemporary American music’s most impressive discographies. It could be argued that he hit his peak with Bright Eyes’ one-two punch of 2000’s Fevers And Mirrors and 2002’s Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground, but Oberst’s creative restlessness has made subsequent releases engaging affairs, including his 2008 self-titled solo album recorded deep in the heart of Mexico.
