Craig Robinson

Craig Robinson

Craig Robinson doesn’t really do stand-up comedy; he does sit-down-behind-a-keyboard comedy. Though he’s better known these days from his film roles (Pineapple ExpressHot Tub Time Machine), and as Darryl from The Office, Robinson has long been a stage performer. He cut his teeth at Chicago’s Second City, and the influence is apparent in his sets: With a few synth keystrokes, he easily transitions from narrative storytelling and punchlines to improvising melodic, sexually suggestive ballads about random audience members. Robinson is effortless with his delivery, and seems more accessible than most comedians-cum-actors.
