Creed
Creed has taken more lumps than any band probably deserves to take. Even Guitar World magazine—notorious for shunning the big picture in favor of the thundering riff—named Creed one of the worst acts of 2003, second only to Limp Bizkit. A 2004 breakup led to three of the members playing as a similar-sounding post-grunge act called Alter Bridge, but some things are too good to let go of forever—including, evidently, sold-out arena tours, resulting in a 2009 album called Full Circle, which also more or less described the band’s trajectory for the past half-decade. The group is planning a new, as-of-yet untitled album, set to release in 2012, unless Nick Fury can convince The Avengers to stop it.
