Artist Daily Void
Comparing one band to another is pretty moot and unhelpful, but, really, one of the most apt ways to quickly sum up Chicago punks Daily Void is this: Imagine a more sneering version of Fugazi without any real kind of agenda. Angular rhythms and gruffly barked vocals drive nails into every part of every one of their songs. Live, it sounds like a goddamned glorious mess. The guys may not move around much, but that's only because they're so intensely focused on the execution of the music. Here, Daily Void celebrates its latest release.
