Dan Telfer
Dan Telfer is a nerd and proud of it. The Chicago comedian’s material draws heavily from his obvious passion for all things geeky, whether he’s doing an impression of Luke Skywalker eating a Filet O’Fish or defending his heterosexuality on the CTA with retorts like, “You are the Voltron of sexually transmitted diseases.” Telfer defends his comedy just as much, as his laid-back demeanor often seems to inadvertently invite audience participation—something the comedian deftly swats, often by giving the offending show-goer an uncomfortable amount of the spotlight to share. A number of established comedians like Patton Oswalt have likewise shared the spotlight with Telfer, tapping him to open for them. When not performing, Telfer is an A.V. Club contributor and host of our web series Pop Pilgrims.
