Artist Danko Jones

Don’t let the name of Danko Jones’ new single “Full Of Regret” fool you. The man who shares his name with his band is an unrepentant hard-rock snake who smears the grease on hot and heavy no matter how laborious his self-aggrandizing sometimes comes across. But in the realm of skuzzy rock ’n’ roll, it’s better to have a swaggering macho man to lead you across his leather-clad criminal landscape than someone who’d flinch when it comes to performing supremely entertaining schlock like “Lovercall” and “First Date.” After 14 years of ripping AC/DC style and barely cracking a smile at its own incredulous posturing, the only reasonable answer has to be that Danko Jones is for real.
