Dashboard Confessional
A godlike savior to his fans and a baffling pussy to his detractors, Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba landed certifiable star status when last year’s Dusk And Summer debuted near the top of the Billboard chart. True, it was a slow week, but charting remains impressive nonetheless. Carrabba’s heart-on-sleeve punk sensitivity helped to define emo-rock, but his songs can veer toward the indistinct, as they do on 2007's The Shade Of Poison Trees. A new album, Alter The Ending, is due out later this year.
