Datsik

Dubstep isn’t for people who enjoy listening to music so much as it’s for people who desire to be obliterated by it. DJ and producer Datsik, a relative late-comer to a still-young genre, admirably provides much bass for the faces of his fans. The British Columbia-based DJ has amassed an impressive list of remixes, EPs, and other releases since starting out in 2008, citing early Wu-Tang Clan as a major influence on his style. Using his Xbox Live handle as his performer name, Datsik’s handle comes from the famous Russian MMA fighter and psychopath, which is well-suited to the DJ’s schizophrenic, oppressive beats.
