When he’s not explaining how he lost 300 pounds of frozen meat or interviewing rabid Chick-Fil-A fans for This American Life, bipolar comedian Dave Hill can be heard on his podcast, Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident. Recent interview subjects include cartoon voice actor extraordinaire Jon Benjamin and Guided By Voices guitarist Doug Gillard. Now that he’s back from extensive touring with his straight-faced power-pop outfit Valley Lodge, he’s available for one-man shows (like his alternately rocking and mocking Dave Hill: Big In Japan) and has found time to write a brand new book of rambling essays, wittily titled Tasteful Nudes, which he’ll be reading from and signing here.
