For someone who is forced to repeatedly tap out “Piano Man” and “Don’t Stop Believin’” on the piano, David Bicknase is an incredibly happy-go-lucky guy. Obviously patient and gracious as well, Bicknase understands that the billionth time through “Tiny Dancer” for him might be the first time for eager patrons on their first visits to a piano bar, but he also doesn’t let the customers’ sometimes unrealistic expectations for a spot-on cover stop him from using his extensive jazz background to embellish and personalize the track.
