David Rakoff

Fans of This American Life should recognize David Rakoff’s voice, if not his name: He’s a regular contributor to the popular radio show. (The guy who played Freud in a department store’s Christmas window? That was him.) Rakoff’s work is similar to another frequent This American Life contributor, David Sedaris, but Rakoff’s vibe is more detached—though no less observant. In addition to penning two best-selling collection of essays, Fraud andDon’t Get Too Comfortable, Rakoff has also done a bit of acting, including a stage role in David and Amy Sedaris’ comedy The Book Of Liz.
