Singer-songwriter David Wilcox kicked off his musical career in 1987 with Nightshift Watchman, following it with 16 more albums, through last’sReverie. Over that body of work, Wilcox has developed a mellow, flowing vocal sound reminiscent of James Taylor, especially with his clear enunciation of lyrics, that fits well with his soulful guitar style. Wilcox favors songwriting that tackles relationship conflicts, and some consider him to be of the meaning-of-life type, which might explain his sensitivity while playing guitar.
