Deadmau5

Dance music star Deadmau5 presents a strong case against using hallucinogenics at concerts: Live, Joel Zimmerman’s lanky frame is capped off with an oversized mouse mask straight out of Japanese anime—and an acid abuser’s worst nightmares. His name figures prominently in lots of dance-music magazines and rolls off the tongues of progressive-house DJs like Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, who started taking to Deadmau5’s momentous house production thanks to his breakout track, “Faxing Berlin.” After his At Play mix series reached its third volume last year, Zimmerman secured a gig as the house DJ for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards before releasing his hit album, 4x4=12.
