Artist Deakin

Josh Dibb (a.k.a. Deakin) doesn’t have any official solo releases to his name, but his remixes of tracks by Ratatat, Goldfrapp, and Phoenix have already earned him an impressive fanbase. (His day job as Animal Collective’s guitarist probably helped too.) Last year, Dibb used online fundraising site Kickstarter to collect almost $26,000 to cover his trip to Mali’s 2010 Festival In The Desert, while simultaneously calling attention to the struggling country.
