Artist Dear Data

A year into existence, Minneapolis-based indie-pop/R&B ensemble Dear Data is an easy enough band to like. The four piece’s warm, sing-along harmonies and Yasmina Moore-Foster’s voice alone are enough to peak curiosity. Originally formed around a collaboration between Moore-Foster and Al Church, the band plays soulful R&B songs with electronic flourishes all soaked in washtubs of country-western and pop. It’s unique stuff, and a different sound than a lot of what you’ll hear at a typical weeknight bar show.
