Def Leppard
Def Leppard was once one of the biggest bands in the world, pumping out hit after hit during the ’80s. Songs like “Photograph,” “Hysteria,” and “Pour Some Sugar On Me” were all but inescapable during the decade; to this day, it’s more than likely that a classic rock station somewhere is playing a Def Leppard tune even as you read this. The band’s Mutt Lange-produced hits made heavy metal safe for the masses by injecting it with a fair dose of pop craftmanship, and it paid off, securing the band an indisputable spot in rock history.
