Deicide

Tampa-based death metal band Deicide has been a mainstay in the American death metal scene for almost two and a half decades, and has stayed embroiled in controversy almost the whole time. Fronted by the outspoken Glen Benton, who once promised to kill himself at the age of 33 to mirror the death of Jesus Christ, Deicide has managed to piss off black metal fans, animal rights groups, and the entire Christian faith with its over-the-top imagery and blasphemous dedication to its craft. With the release of its 10th studio album, appropriately titled To Hell With God, the band shows no signs of slowing down.
