Artist Dennis Ferrer
Dennis Ferrer makes and plays the kind of house music that seems to float through the clouds while surveying an earth it never forgets to pay attention to. He’s been a fixture in New York for years, and his status has been rising meteorically as the realm of minimal techno (the kind played and fetishized on a big scale in Europe) has turned increasingly toward house with an infusion of soul. Ferrer’s 2006 album,The World As I See It, remains a monster in house circles.
