Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode has been a master of electronic-pop for nearly three decades, in part for the way its music almost never sounds dated. Its stuff from the ’80s sounds like “the ’80s,” to be sure, but mostly because Depeche Mode did so much to define the time. The group made an impressive move earlier this year with Sounds Of The Universe, an agile, angsty album that rewards all the attention that should be given to it. Bank on lots of black-clad fans of all ages here, as Depeche Mode takes yet another victory lap around the worldwide tour circuit.
