Artist Dirty Sweet

Dirty Sweet’s sound is pretty easy to peg: The San Diego band’s style and sound are Southern-fried through and through, though its live presentation is strong enough to overshadow the geographic dyslexia. The group’s most recent disc, 2007’s …Of Monarchs And Beggars, leaves no shit un-kicked nor upper lip un-mustachioed in its quest to resurrect the gritty swagger of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes at their hardest, and The Allman Brothers Band with the jam thankfully cranked way low. The group just finished tracking a new album, so prepare for plenty of new (yet old-sounding) songs.
