Dirty Three

Dirty Three started out in Australia and quickly moved into a more ethereal realm where moody string music says most of what needs saying. The group spun into an indie-rock orbit, touring with the likes of Sonic Youth and Pavement, and the Chicago label Touch And Go swooped in to release a slate of records starting with 1995's Dirty Three. The band's last album was 2005's Cinder, but it's back now for small run of shows, including a gig at All Tomorrow's Parties in upstate New York.
