Artist Dissent And Revolt

Madison’s Dissent And Revolt crafts lean, harsh songs from the skeletons of metal and hardcore. Charred-throat vocals, tempo shifts, and a simple lineup (guitar, bass, drums) shift the songs between enraged and ominous. As the name implies, the band’s lyrics focus on pissed-off politics, as on “Surveillance Vengeance,” which batters home the drama with a guitar that alternates between chugging bottom-end and creepy, warped melodies. The band has yet to put out a full-length, but has been working on new songs for an album that might come out sometime in 2010.
