Junior Vasquez is one of those DJs who have been spinning in New York for what seems like 100 years and who manage, somehow, to hold onto a devoted base of fans who will flock to wherever they happen to be. His sound is house, in the most expansive sense of the term, and his legacy goes back to the '80s, when he started accruing a following that would go on to include the likes of Madonna and lots of sweaty dancers looking for a good mood and a good vibe.
