DJ Rekha

A prime mover in what could be called the U.S. bhangra "scene"--does such a thing exist outside New York and maybe Los Angeles?--DJ Rekha has been spinning big-bottomed Indian music for what seems like ages. In New York, at least, no mention of bhangra goes without a mention of her name, and she put together a go-to mix CD last year called Basement Bhangra (named after her recurring show in New York).
