DJ ?uestlove

Best known for playing drums and twiddling knobs for Philly hip-hop group and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon house band The Roots, Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson was a musical prodigy at an early age, touring with his father, doo-wop singer Lee Andrews, as a 7-year-old youngster. Thompson will spin a DJ set here, likely in the same league as past mix-discs given to the likes of Smokey Robinson, Minnie Riperton, Bill Withers, and Roy Ayers. Bank on some newer stuff, too—the ever-current ?uestlove is nothing if not a serious head. Speaking of heads, ?uestlove’s kind of a style icon, too, sporting his ever-present afro with accompanying pick. Nike certainly is feeling his steez. The company is set to release their second “Questo” sneaker designed by the drummer and DJ later this year.
