Artist Do Make Say Think
Tinkering with its sound and lineup since the mid-‘90s, Canadian instrumental collective Do Make Say Think has eased into adulthood with its sixth studio album. Combining epic improvisational tunings with elements of post-rock, jazz, and distorted instrumentation, this year’s Other Truths is a concise, four-track follow-up to the differentiated sounds of 2007’s You, You’re A History In Rust, and finds the group playing around with its defiant aesthetic. Guest musicians offer trumpet, sax, and violin, while members of Akron/Family and Lullabye Arkestra both contributed vocal accompaniment.
