Dolly Parton

When a singer/songwriter/actor/philanthropist has been at the top for close to 50 years, he or she is often perceived more as a caricature than as an artist. Such is the case with Dolly Parton, who’s notoriously endowed rack and hokey theme park jump to the forefront of our collective consciousness. But Parton—The Queen Of Country Music—has led a tremendous career. Since 1967, her tally of accolades is almost unbelievable: 25 No. 1 singles, eight Grammy Awards (including one for Lifetime Achievement), a Kennedy Center Honor, and a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, to name a few. The woman is simply a legend.
