Doomtree

The Minneapolis hip-hop collective Doomtree mixes elements of punk rock and DIY culture with their blazing rap tracks to stirring effect. The collective is made up of five MCs and two DJs with a wide range of styles, from the high-energy antics of POS to Dessa’s delicate poetry. As a group, Doomtree has only released two albums—2008’s self-titled effort and 2011’s No Kings—but the crew has been together for years and the familial vibe of a Doomtree show is a big part of the appeal—with so many different voices on stage, you’re bound to find something to bounce to.
