Doug Benson is as good a model for marijuana legalization as any. The star of Super High Me and proud past High Times “Stoner Of The Year” honoree released his third album in three years in 2010—Hypocritical Oaf—while his weekly podcast, Doug Loves Movies, swiftly became one of the Internet’s most entertaining outlets for informal film discussion. Of course, Benson’s bleary-eyed followers would still rather hear him riff on weed and McGriddles, and Hypocritical Oaf follows through on that, maintaining a delicate balance of effortless delivery and sharply constructed routines that’ll make you wonder if there’s any actual pot in that vaporizer of which he’s so fond. Benson recorded his fourth album, Potty Mouth, this past April 20 (natch), and released it at the end of August.
