This Week Ted Leo And The Pharmacists cover Tears For Fears

Artist Dropkick Murphys

Boston’s Dropkick Murphys have been doing very well lately—even after St. Patrick’s Day, when the band’s Pogues-gone-hardcore sound has earned it a standing hometown gig, as documented on the upcoming Live On Landsdowne. They may be Beantown's second-proudest musical sons after Aerosmith (sorry, Pixies), and their fist-pumping, pub-born populist punk has been adopted as the city's de facto jock jam. The Red Sox even rallied their drought-ending 2004 World Series championship behind the Murphys’ redo of the Broadway anthem “Tessie.”
