Duran Duran
A band with so many comeback stories that it’s difficult to remember which number it’s currently on, Duran Duran featured some of the prettiest of the ’80s pretty boys, taking full advantage of MTV’s ability to turn singles into sexy four-minute commercials. With the exception of singer Simon Le Bon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes, membership in Duran Duran has varied wildly over the years—currently, most of the original members are back in the group—though the strength of its numerous hit singles hasn’t: “Girls On Film,” “Rio,” and “Hungry Like The Wolf” still sound great nearly three decades later, and that’s just scraping the surface of a discography that’s still expanding, most recently with 2011’s All You Need Is Now.
