Edwin McCain

Edwin McCain’s 2001 album was defiantly titled Far From Over, but the South Carolina singer-songwriter may have been a bit optimistic in his appraisal. Riding on the coattails of his friends in Hootie And The Blowfish might have seemed like a good idea at the time, but McCain is now stuck with the same baggage that inspired Hootie singer Darius Rucker’s run to pop-R&B and, most recently, country. McCain followed Rucker’s example once again on 2008’s soul covers record Nobody’s Fault But Mine, and released his 11th studio album,Mercy Bound, in 2011.
