Jamming on the blues and holding down regular Monday night gigs is nothing new to Madison’s Elf Lettuce, so it’s no surprise that the recent departure of the band’s longtime drummer didn’t throw the remaining members too far off their groove. Ever positive and determined to rebuild with new drummer Jamie Zander—with the slight adjustment period resulting in additional help and the name change to the weekly shows at Cardinal Bar—members of Elf Lettuce still have lots of other side ventures to tend to, like Ween-tribute band Warm Wet Rag. Despite a little personnel flux, it’s nearly impossible to keep a band down that embraces classic rock and noodly jam band sounds in a town like Madison.
