Emo Philips

Emo Philips

Cited as an influence by great comedians from Louis C.K. to the late Mitch Hedberg to Jay Leno (well, two out of three isn’t bad), Emo Philips has been honing his surrealist stand-up in comedy clubs in the U.S. and the UK for nearly 30 years. Often sporting a Prince Valient-esque pageboy or Billy Idol-like bleached spikes, Philips is absurdist in both appearance and delivery, trading in keenly crafted one-liners like, “How many people in here have telekinetic powers? Raise my hand.”
