Artist Eric Andersen

Eric Andersen’s Plane Rides & Ocean Tides dropped in 2010, and this year he’s hard at work on the road. The musician’s no-frills approach to rock ’n’ roll piano blends well with his lyrical storytelling, and provides a breath of fresh air to a genre all but lost in this day and age of modded, synth-styled keys. His raw, clean strikes and yearning vocals mix well with the strings and occasional wailing guitar, and create a milieu that harkens back to an era when Elton John was king. Rather than outdated, Andersen brings a welcome defibrillator to his corner of the music world.
