Milwaukee native Eric Benet has enjoyed modest success since releasing 1996's A Day In The Life on Warner Bros., most notably scoring a No. 1 on the R&B chart with 2000’s “Spend My Life With You,” a duet with Tamia. Roles in Mariah Carey’s Glitter and as Halle Berry’s real-life husband didn’t go as well, but at least Benet has stayed true to his roots, coming back to Milwaukee to record last year’s Love & Life.
