Eternal Summers

Fuzzy, stripped-down pop passed through a punk lens is akin to a crack epidemic in modern indie. Roanoke, Virginia-based Eternal Summers could easily be mistaken for another mindless hipster junkie, but its brand of minimalist post-punk dares to at least hint at something greater. On the group’s debut LP, Silver, there are tinges of psych exploration and Deerhoof-esque artiness to prop up what could have been another Best Coast lite. If the blog-salivated flavor du jour in indie rock has you hooked, the band Eternal Summers is a uniquely passable entry into an already cramped market.
