Artist Everything, Now!

Why do people believe in rock ’n’ roll? Well, if Everything, Now! has anything to do with it, it’s because rock ’n’ roll makes you feel damn good. Even when faced with the question “Whatcha gonna do without life insurance?” the song “Why Believe,” on the 2011 Do It On The Moon release, has us thinking everything will work out just fine. Everything, Now! plays just the type of happy, fun music to hold your hand through a tough economy. And the band’s live performances are also guaranteed to get your grumpy butt moving. The band itself is a fine example that hard work pays off: Having formed in 2002, Everything, Now! has already released six albums. At one point, the band might have been considered a major employer in the Indianapolis music scene by being such a large ensemble. Now, however, the more-manageable five-man crew produces a complex and very upbeat blend of garage rock, pop, and psychedelic punk—and you could probably toss in a few more terms without ruffling any of the band’s Indy-born feathers.
