Between 1979 and 1987, Lee Ving and his band Fear made an influential punk-rock classic (1982’s The Record), started a near-riot on Saturday Night Live, and offended just about everyone. The band has been periodically active since then, with a continually shifting lineup, though it hasn’t released a new studio album since 1995’s so-so Have Another Beer With Fear. (2000’s American Beer collected previously unreleased material.) Who knows what Ving and company have up their sleeve for this tour with fellow SoCal old-schoolers Agent Orange and D.I.? That is, other than more puerile jokes, a smidge of Ving's right-wing rants, and all-around hatemongering delivered in brutish punk blasts, just for the fun of it?
