Fleetwood Mac
The word “tumultuous” has always described Fleetwood Mac’s intra-band relationships, most famously the complicated web of affairs that characterized its late-’70s period, which also produced the monster-hit album Rumours and indelible singles like “Go Your Own Way.” Many of the band members did indeed go their own way, splitting off for sporadic solo careers. Though mostly shelved for the last half-decade, the band is almost back to what most fans would consider classic Mac: Christine McVie retired from music in 1998, but the rest of the Rumours-era crew—guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, singer Stevie Nicks, and founding namesakes John McVie on bass and Mick Fleetwood on drums.
