Foreign Born

Foreign Born has long been pegged as the rightful heir to the anthemic band throne in a lineage stretching from U2 to Arcade Fire. While its 2009 album, Person To Person, lacks the breakout epic that catapult a band from respected (Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste is a vocal fan) to revered, its ambitious sweep is stunning all the same: A sparkling, panoramic pop view of California with every peak, valley, and rolling wave lushly realized.
