Fort Wilson Riot
Fresh-faced duo Fort Wilson Riot combines programmed beats, sturdy keys, and gentle harmonies with random instrumentation—like strings, live trumpet, and even something resembling a MIDI brass section on “All My Friends” from its 2010 album, Predator/Prey. While the band’s not exactly smashing through genre boundaries, it at least politely sidesteps their respective trappings in its effervescent electro-pop, especially on the peculiarly lovely “For All The Little Things” off the 2011 EP Generation Complex.
