Artist Fulton Lights
After seven years making multi-pseudonymous music in Brooklyn, Andrew Spencer Goldman has finally returned to his native D.C. Though the dexterous musician has worked with everyone from The Hold Steady to Wilco, his one-man band Fulton Lights bears the markings of Goldman’s musical vision: ambient instrumentation, haunting vocals, and quirky, textured flourishes that might very well have come from Tom Waits or Brian Eno. Unlike the previous two albums, Fulton Lights' Healing Waters has a more subdued quality that skirts earlier sentimentality with more confidence and breathing room.
