Garaj Mahal
Spreading its jazz-worldbeat fusion into some extended funky noodles, Garaj Mahal brings together two jam enthusiasts and two more experienced jazz veterans. Guitarist Fareed Haque is a respected player and composer who’s worked with Tito Puente, while bassist Kai Eckhardt has been a jazz educator. Former Haque student Eric Levy plays the keys, with veteran session drummer Sean Rickman is the newest addition to the band. He'll make his recorded debut on Garaj Mahal's upcoming album, tentatively titled More Mr. Nice Guy, which features road-tested songs like "Witch Doctor" and "Chester The Pester." Expect to hear those and more new material here.
