Garfunkel And Oates

Much like Flight Of The Conchords, the musical comedy duo Garfunkel And Oates—Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci—have made an art of writing catchy, folky songs that just happen to be hilarious. In songs about everything from the horrible grimace you make when you get a gift you hate in “Present Face” to the ridiculous arguments against gay marriage in “Sex With Ducks,” Garfunkel And Oates—named in recognition of two of music’s most famous second bananas—deliver memorable melodies and great punch lines with equal aplomb. And like that other famous musical-comedy folk duo before them, television has recognized their appeal and HBO has signed them on for an upcoming pilot.
