Artist Gauntlet Hair

Oh great. Another band’s low-key riff on The Russian Futurists with nearly inaudible vocals and pitchy synthesizers—just what the world needs. To be fair, Gauntlet Hair isn’t the worst ambient noise band out there. Yes, all of its songs sound like tracks blaring in an abandoned subway station, and they are all pretty much the same. But if there’s going to be repetitive noise clogging up eardrums, it might as well be pleasant noise, and Gauntlet Hair’s tunes are certainly pleasant. And with all of this talk about Bane’s dialogue being hard to understand in the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, Gauntlet Hair’s nonsensical vocals may be in fashion soon enough. Trendy kids do love Batman, after all.
