Artist Gipsy Kings

The members of the French guitar group Gipsy Kings have spent roughly the last three and a half decades masterfully popularizing flamenco music. From their up-the-ante cover of The Eagles’ “Hotel California” and the iconic song “Bamboleo” to, well, pretty much every other song they have ever made, Gipsy Kings have always had the rumba Catalana market all but cornered, and their notoriety is more than deserved. The Gipsy Kings know one thing very well: how to write tight, fast rumba flamenco songs into incredibly catchy pop music, with adept harmonies, layered intricate guitar, and fast percussion. As a live act, their reputation is immaculate.
