Glassghosts' propulsive sound is a dark mix of gothic electro and light industrial, accompanied by theatrical, classically trained female vocals. Ideal for vamping out to and even good for a little dancing (with a side of brooding), the real draw of the group is the unwieldy, fascinating way it turns every show into veritable performance art. Taking the time to create elaborate costumes, drape the stage in ornate light fixtures and deer antlers, hire folks to play mummy-headed funeral-goers and gas-masked meat cutters—it probably sounds like a ton of work to most bands. But then, there's no rest for the wicked.
