God's Pottery
Armed with an acoustic guitar and a daffy little glockenspiel, the duo of Gideon Lamb and Jeremiah Smallchild sing joyful praises to Jesus and abstinence under the name God's Pottery. The two dress like little boys at Bible camp, complete with the sandals, and fill their convincing Christian-folk parodies with unnatural cheer and that all-important note of creepy invasiveness. They also have plenty of sex advice for horny, confused teens and condescension for their Muslim, Jewish, and Hindu friends. Beyond song, they've been expanding His kingdom into the Funny Or Die web series Christ'd (a proselytizing twist on Punk'd) and the book What Would God's Pottery Do?, which offers "essays, diagrams, photos, and stage-ready skits" to "steer the Youth Of Today in the right direction."
