Artist Good Charlotte

Someday, “Good Charlotte” will roll off people’s tongues as easily as “Johnny Hates Jazz,” but until then, the Madden brothers will continue churning out mallternative-punk for kids who don’t really know (or care) about the stuff The Clash and Bad Brains made back in the ’70s. 2007’s cloying Good Morning Revival finds the Maryland quintet cashing in on a variety of already-passé trends, including everything from aping The Killers to imitating The Gorillaz and Coldplay. 2010’s Cardiology is ostensibly a return to the band’s pop-punk roots, but features clubfooted dance tracks and flavorless production.
